Again, this depends on the system you use.
All machines I use (with exception of my Slowlaris using /usr/openwin,
of course) use /usr/X11 and create an entire tree of bin/ etc/ lib/ and
share/ below that, and link /etc/X11 to /usr/X11/etc ...
