Hello,
is anybody successfully using cvs to download/update GNUstep on Sun Solaris? I am using cvs 1.11.17 from www.sunfreeware.com and the following command to upgrade my source tree.cvs -z3 -d:ext:anoncvs@savannah.gnu.org:/cvsroot/gnustep co gnustep This works on MacOSX but on Solaris I get a timeout.bash-2.05# cvs -z3 -d:ext:anoncvs@savannah.gnu.org:/cvsroot/gnustep co gnustepsavannah.gnu.org: Connection timed outcvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)Have you done "export CVS_RSH=ssh"?
No, I forgot that. :-(
That could sort out the timeout issues - I have successfully checked out gnustep on Solaris 7 but can't remember what version of CVS I used. I compiled from source though, rather than grabbing the package from sunfreeware.
It's working now with the package from sunfreeware.com on Solaris 9. Thanks a lot! Regards, Andreas
