Firefox/GNUMail integration

Apparently adding this to prefs.js :

user_pref("network.protocol-handler.app.mailto", "start-tb.sh");

will make firefox call the start-tb.sh script with the mailto URL.
Does anyone have a script which will parse the mailto URL and call
a GNUMail service?
