Your gnustep-gui is too old -- use
http://ftpmain.gnustep.org/pub/gnustep/core/gnustep-gui-0.11.0.tar.gz
http://ftpmain.gnustep.org/pub/gnustep/core/gnustep-back-0.11.0.tar.gz
instead.
