Below is a press release from ALA about a meeting that I had the 
opportunity to attend. I believe that the directions set in this 
meeting can be helpful for the school community. The Supreme Court 
made it clear that the use of filters does raise constitutional 
concerns. They indicated that CIPA itself was not unconstitutional 
because the law provided the ability to disable or override the 
filter. But there was also the clear indication of concern from some 
of the justices that the use of filtering itself could be imposing 
unacceptable constitutional restrictions on adults and minors.
