You have to play with serial or usb or
whatever port, I mean physical device connected to PC where the
browser on dolibarr is displayed, web browsers do not have this
capabibliities to play with physical external device (may be with
hand made specifics browser plugin), as well as web server like
apache is not designe to do that.
Use tricks like write a file that is read by deamon or crontab
task each seconds, or API xml or REST, that interact with some
material... you always need an communication layer, like driver
and some executable that can play with your physical device.
Take care to the architecture, if your webserver is the caskdesk
it can work, but it's not smart(stolre your caskdesk, you lost all
your data...), you should deploy a server in your back office and
only have a browser with printer as cashdesk.
