Ultimately, everything it can.

It's starting with webservices (meaning things like e-bay, hotmail,
etc...)

and then it's moving on to the application side (word processors,
browsers, etc...)

Anything that can somehow be worked into a network paradigm is having
.Net applied to it.  It's a prior move to implementing a subscription
model for use of software.
