This message is a reply to Scott, but also contains
information that other volunteers may be interested in.
Note: I only discuss DotGNU Portable.NET. There
are other projects under the DotGNU banner also.
See the web site for details.

At this stage, any help is good help. :-)

Being a lost asm programmer, perhaps you may be
interested in helping out on the C# compiler, which
translates C# into IL assembly code.

Then there's always the C# library, which involves
picking a .NET Framework class and cloning it for
the "pnetlib" library. This is probably the easiest
way for people to help, since the classes are mostly
self-contained and each can be rattled off in a
couple of hours.

We also need help with documentation. In particular,
converting the various API's into texinfo files. The
.h files are well commented, but we need in-depth
programmer documentation. I've begun converting
some of them, but there's only so many microseconds
in my day at the moment.

Other than that, download the code and play with it.
If something strikes your fancy, then have a go at it.

I will probably put together a more complete list
of tasks early next week. I'm in the process of
getting a public CVS system for DotGNU
Portable.NET set up which should make it a lot
easier for people to contribute. Until then, the code
can be obtained from here:

Cheers,

Rhys.
