Somewhat belated installation reports for the 0.5.8 release.

Some of the problems noted below (may) have been fixed in CVS, based on reading the CVS version's ChangeLog.

Debian 3.0.2 on x86
All built OK. (Pnet, PnetLib, PnetC, ML-pnet)
        Pnet, Pnetlib tests OK.
Pnetlib, PnetC samples OK. (not all tested)

FreeBSD 4.4 on x86
Pnet required hack to disable multilibs in libffi.
        After that, all built OK.
        Pnet, Pnetlib tests OK.
        Pnetlib samples OK.
PnetC samples involving printf("%s", x) all die with Segv.
        Failure is in IL_argiterator_getnextarg (libmisc.c lin 257)

NetBSD 1.5.2 on x86
Libgc: gc_priv.h generates warning 'unix is not a predefined symbol'
System-provided textinfo is too old, can't build pnet doc directory.
        Disabled doc directory and proceeded.
        Pnet + Pnetlib built OK.
PnetC build needs CPP=/usr/libexec/cpp during configure and make
        to succeed.
Pnet crypt & verify tests ok; threading not configured (1.5.2 gcc is 2.95)
PnetC samples OK; pnetlib samples OK (not all tested)

RedHat Linux 7.2 on x86
        Pnet and Pnetlib tests pass.
        Pnetlib and pnetC samples succeed.

Yellow Dog Linux 3.0
Pnetlib configure failed to find X because I didn't have xmkmf
installed. Corrected that, and X was found correctly.
Pnetlib samples work, but tests die with segmentation failure.
        (not sure why yet)
PnetC samples with printf("%s") work, but '%d' examples die.
