The must see powerboat at the 2008 Miami Boat show on February 14th - 18th will be Hustler's new 39' Rockit. There is much talk about this boat all over the boating industry and Hustler is being tight lipped over the results of their extensive testing. Hustler's goal when engineering this boat was to build a boat that is capable of 120 mph safely along with a comfortable ride. They also stated that the boat will feature state of the art electronics and navigational system. The 39' Rockit will come standard with Mercury Racing Engines.
Global Marine Power, the builder of Hustler Powerboats has been constructing performance boats since the early 80's and were the innovators of the stepped hull design in performance v-bottom boats. Their state of the art facility, (ex home of the Grumman f-14), is based in Calverton, NY and produces models ranging from 21' to 50'.
"The Rockit's handling over the 100 mph mark is no different than when the boat is running 75 -- 80 mph" stated John Cunningham, "and we are extremely pleased with our results so far. I have never seen a boat so stable and comfortable to be in at those speeds."
