the file you sent is
4829 bytes and md5 4e426e7dc81ac755d201ebfa39957f12

the size and md5 in the log were taken directly from the python httplib library 
returned content. so it either is a python bug or a bug in your apache version 
(obv. latest stable). at this point i can't see what i can do without digging 
into other code. i probably won't.

you can try to switch python or apache version to see if the error dissolves 
though.
