There is no other place that you need to take care. There is a local cache directory with manifests and sigtars but that will be updated as soon as you start the new backup.

Can I just move my backup archives out of the backup folder and run a
backup procedure as per usual? Is there metadata or anything
elsewhere that would need to be wiped/reset?
