Details:
Hello all:
I have encountered a problem with big signature files. I tried to make a
backup to a gmail account using the imaps backend. I used a small volume size
(3MB) so that gmail have no problems with the volumes. It worked nice till the
final one, the signatures file is 30MB more or less, and causes the google
imap to fail:
IMAP DATA SENT: NKAN1756 APPEND INBOX {32542430}
error: APPEND command error: BAD ['Could not parse command']
(I added the IMAP DATA SENT output message to see what was being sent to the
imap server). The problem seems to be the big size of the signatures file.
I'm submitting this as a bug, as the signature itself file should also not be
bigger than any other volume. A previous step should be necessary to split the
signature file in volumes.
I don't know exactly how difficult this modification could be, or if possible
at all, but I wanted to report the situation.
Regards,
diego.
