Hi all,
I'm using dvdrecord version 1.11a15 with a Sony DRU-120A DVD+RW (2.4x
DVD+R speed) drive on a Mandrake 7.2 linux system (kernel 2.2.17). I'm
attempting to simply archive random data and files by:
mkisofs -R -J -udf -U -o dvd.iso /home/source_dir
Which successfully creates the image (i used the mkisofs from the
dvdrtools dist), which I checked by mounting it. When I run...
dvdrecord -v -overburn dev=1,0,0 dvd.iso
the process wants to burn with a speed of 11 which is well beyond the
2.4 capability of the drive. I tried setting the speed switch to 1 and
even 0, but it still tries to burn at 11 (can I call this the 'Spinal
Tap' issue?)
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Philip Juels
