--- Begin Message ---Subject: Enhancement/feature request: Undo quick format Date: Wed, 24 Dec 2014 22:02:09 -0500 Since quick formatting a disk doesn't actually wipe the data on a disk, and only overwrites a small part of it, it should be possible to have an option to back up the portion that will be overwritten. That portion, although small, can be detrimental to filesystem recovery and a small backup of it with an undo-option could rescue a lot of mistakes.

This doesn't have anything to do with parted since it does not handle formatting filesystems. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32) iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJUoacZAAoJENRVrw2cjl5RmMcH/28z+/HNQiN4E+nmYMv7xlZh eP6HJlpw2x5Li7ypX06ZL+/ggarDBiBB6U3QtJXLmTTHtGJziGVw7bUQhP6TukW2 RB/jFew53whgDkuiJTAg1NbRJMcN02YKyJULVdhQHI3dNxnGXbbZJf22i2/JbUF8 RHkQv68prExphXQi6Cz8i4JsI1qwafd7Gdy8JVHXwHR90QBgxrqCma/I2RQmXR3J PUAQt5ZB0W1yxNt0YEzgU5YpHeECwN9QAqF5jiu78/50TRQL+MLlFhhtyeDQidML XWb8Jor1pmNw01FH2OcnKNcjVcrO9d52GhmRXIQqZPhNum6VJEzVobeeXyaqsd8= =kZ27 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
