In "emacs -Q", when I do "C-x v l" on a file under git version control,
then move point in the log buffer with (for example) "C-v C-v C-v" to
view previous commit messages, then, after the log is completely
available, point is unexpectedly moved to the start of the log buffer.

In GNU Emacs 23.1.95.5 (i386-apple-darwin8.11.1, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
 of 2010-04-10 on mt-computer.lan
Windowing system distributor `The X.Org Foundation', version 11.0.10402000
configured using `configure '--with-x-toolkit=lucid''
