Hi,

I am using the "Command on Buffer" function provided by AUCTeX. It
saves me a lot of time when I write my thesis on a very old laptop.
After Mosè's patch (commit 40c2c26c0be82fb9ae164db40c96efea50cd3d8f),
the forward search and backward search works like a charm. Thanks Mosè.

The issue I would like to bring here is about the behaviour of "Quick
View". From my understanding "Quick View" function provides a quick
way to do forward search. Instead of first typing "C-c C-c" and then
typing "v RET" to slecte the command "view" to call forward view
function, we only type "C-c C-v" and forward search is called.

"Quick View" function works very well when compling the whole
document. But If I compiling only part of document its behaviour is
strange. Suppose first I press "C-c C-b" and type "l RET" to run latex
on the buffer. After that I press "C-c C-v" to call "Quick View" to
jumps to the corresponding location of the "_region_.pdf". At this time
the "Quick View" behavours correctly. It jumps to the right location of
"_region_.pdf". But then if I press "C-c C-v" again at another location
of the source file it still jumps to the the same locaiton of
"_region_.pdf", i.e. the corresponding locaiton of the first call of
"Quick View". Any successive call of "Quick View" will jumps to the
location of the first call. This is very wired.

Note that if I first press "C-c C-b" then type "v RET", the forward
search function works as I expected.

Cheers,
Qiang
