Right, but the original message was about changing something because a
56Kbps connection was too slow.  To get the correct results from using
baud-rate for this, you want `local' ttys to return something
appropriately higher (I don't know what, 500Kbps or something?)
[it seems even more correct to just return an out-of-band value like
nil, but I'm guessing that would just screw people up]
