It sounds like the log_accum method does not require people
to have Savannah accounts, but the cvs watch method does require
Savannah accounts.

Is this correct?

If so, that is one reason to prefer the log_accum method.
Another is that many of these Lisp file maintainers don't have
any other need for Savannah accounts.  So it looks like we
should use the log_accum method.
