I don't think that's true for reasonable values of `large' unless you
include (something like) the changes to autoload coding systems which
I posted previously.

The new Indian stuff needs attention anyway.  I have changes to remove
the CL dependence, but there are other issues such as duplicated
functions and functions in the general name space which should either
be renamed or moved to subr.el.

Could someone debug why `range' apparently needs to be defined twice
for bootstrapping and make a decision about what should be renamed or
moved?  I talked to Kawabata-san about it.
