Dired, C-d x, ought to take an argument or something to get the
current directory, centered upon the name of the file where it was
called form.

That is, say I'm looking at foobar.foo, and I get the urge to see the
current directory in dired, well, there are 2 out of 3 chances that
instead of the cursor being routinely placed at the top of the list, I
want it lying on top of foobar.foo .
