Martin and I had agreed that the font-lock settings for C (and friends)
should be moved from font-lock.el to cc-mode and that he'd then
take care of it (I believe he has several improvements in the pipeline).

I have also worked on C fontification a bit but haven't had time
to look at the problem of "double (*noise)(double)".

Martin, any news on moving the font-lock settings to cc-mode ?
