Show/Hide menu

Hi,

I have just committed the change which moves Show/Hide menu above Save
Options and actually allows saving all of these options settable via this
menu. Please test it.

I think we should also add the possibility to turn off fringes and maybe
invent better name for this menu... I think we can add things like
display-time there etc.
