I'll second Kim's opinion. As is, this extra header line is useless,
unless one wants to copy it, but it seems like nobody ever had to. 

Kim's patch looks good to me, even though it breaks something with the
header line, and shouldn't be applied in its current state.

A better option might be to keep this links line in the buffer, but put
it at the extreme bottom of the buffer. This way, it's always available
if one wants to copy it, and it does not interfere with the existing
header line.  And it provides a way to navigate through the nodes
when you're at the bottom of the buffer, without having to use the
header line.  What do you think?
