BTW. How about changing startup.el such that custom-file is loaded
(after .emacs) if it has been set and if the file hasn't been loaded yet
(such that users only need to put (setq custom-file "~/.custom") in
their .emacs file) ?
I see nothing wrong with that. Want to do it?
