    Difficult to answer.  At least "Programming Example" in widget's info
    (attached to this mail) doesn't work well.  Because `erase-buffer'
    makes all overlays empty.

I don't follow you.  The example code, widget-example,
seems to be intended to set up the widgets in the buffer.
Why would you use it again once the widgets exist
in the buffer?
