3. macfns.o should not be in SOME_MACHINE_OBJECTS when building for X.This is not a good thing to do, because the DOC file is supposed to be system independent.
What does that mean exactly? Should I be able to take a DOC produced
on a Mac and use it on GNU/Linux or W32?
