Sounds more sensible to change the legacy code rather than the
non-legacy Emacs. Since you have not so far volunteered any code as
far as I remember following the discussion, this would require more
information. A pointer to the code appears appropriate.
My apologies if this has already been given, and I forgot or
overlooked it.
