I just tried this.
Oh, hell! I got scaleable japanese fonts. I've been burdened with this
near one year.

Could you tell me what is wrong in,
(set-fontset-font
 "*monaco08"
 'japanese-jisx0208
 "-apple-ヒラギノ丸ゴ pro w4-medium-r-normal--8-*-*-*-m-*-jisx0208.1983-sjis" 
 )
