M-¤ is undefinedsuggesting that something goes wrong with back-translating the keycode in macterm.c. Does anyone have a good suggestion about the underlying cause of this? The code of ¤(0xA4) corresponds to that of § in mac-roman encoding. So it seems that back-translation itself does work, but encoded-kbd-mode does not translate a key input with modifiers.
"\M-°" (French keyboard where a - and = are on a US one) exhibits similar behavior.
