Hi Ralf,

I'm using static ip in a college LAN. I cut the network by
`/etc/init.d/network stop'. I can reproduce this bug 100% sure.

Is it necessary for me to submit a backtrace? I used to do the install
with `make install INSTALL_STRIP="-s"'. Is this the reason my
backtrace didn't contain debug info?

Thank you for your effort in fixing this bug.
