I don't see any reason why not (for backwards compatibility).  Here is
a changelog entry for the attached patch:

2006-07-21  Matt Hodges  <address@hidden>

        * textmodes/table.el: Add move-beginning-of-line and
        move-end-of-line to Point Motion Only Group.

Can someone install it?
