    It would be if it really was random, but I very much doubt that Windows
    calls random() to calculate the default position for windows. More
    likely it is based on the positions of previous windows you have opened.

The point is that it is seemingly random; it is unpredictable - the *user*
doesn't know what to expect. We're dealing with deterministic software and
hardware, for the most part, but if the user hasn't a clue what's going on,
the behavior seems random - it makes no sense.

    IMHO there are many more important bugs that should be fixed before we
    spend more unproductive time arguing about whether this needs to be
    "fixed" or reverted before release.

I don't fix the priorities. I'm simply saying that this (too) should be
fixed before the release. Or else we should back it out, and discuss the
design and how to finish the job, after the release.
