    I am running the 22.0.95 pretest on Mac OS X 10.4 on an Intel MacBook.
    Installation went without problems. I still expect to get one of those
    recursive malloc lockups. I had one with the 22.0.93 pretest, but gdb
    wouldn't give a decent stack trace so I can't tell which system call caused
    it.

Do you get a useful backtrace this time?
