Maybe another binding could be used, C-c C-c seems to be commonly used
by mode specific "I've finished with this" type commands. The point is
to force new users into consciously choosing what they want to do next
(edit something they might want to save, or create a *scratch* buffer in
Lisp Interaction mode for its traditional purpose. More advanced users
can customize inhibit-splash-screen to avoid the extra keypresses.
