Maybe you think that the MSDOS port is a 16-bit, real-mode only
program that can only use the lower 1MB of the memory.  But in fact,
the MSDOS port is a 32-bit protected mode program that just uses DOS
system calls to do its job.  So it can use virtual memory and all the
physical memory up to 512MB that is present on modern machines.

So the traditional DOS memory limitations are not a problem here.
