OK by me. It's been good enough for many years.

I'll still use my `C-l', because it's easier for me (same key, even if
repeated), but your point is valid.

As I said from the beginning, the proposed behavior is only a minor
convenience. And it is (now) obviously not seen as a convenience by
everyone.
