And what about debuggability of the resulting binary? If it's harder
to debug (e.g., if there are problems to get a meaningful backtrace
from a core file of a crashed Emacs), then I'd actually urge package
maintainers _not_ to use this while preparing binary distros, because
that would make our lives as Emacs maintainers harder when a user
reports a crash.
