Why should RMS change his politics or his procedures?

As for myself, I cannot have a continuous Internet connection, for
example when I am visiting.  Moreover, I certainly don't want one at
home because (a) although I have a great deal of security I am not an
expert and I don't trust that I won't run into a malicious external
site, and (b) I want to get work done and not be interrupted.

I know there are people who do not mind interruptions, but I am not
one of them.  For me, that is key.  Different people have different
desires.

An advantage of email is that you don't have to respond for a day or
two.
