23.0.50; Fails to start in X mode

From: root
Subject: 23.0.50; Fails to start in X mode
Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2008 09:33:38 +0000

This morning after a CVS update and build I am failing to start as a
window. Will start in an xterm (as I am doing now). The
.xsession-errors says

libxcb: WARNING! Program tries to lock an already locked connection,
        which indicates a programming error.
There will be no further warnings about this issue.

so I assume a programmoing error. Will attempt to check further but this is
not an area I understand
