I cannot reproduce it locally. Do you have a fresh checkout of Emacs?
Two days agao, I've applied a fix to tramp.el, because of ido. Maybe it
is a similar problem?
If the problem does not go away, please check it with a clean Emacs
(call "emacs -Q"). Remove also lisp/ido.elc and lisp/net/tramp.elc
before starting Emacs, in order to get a readable backtrace.
