Using rx for interactive regexp input?

Wouldn't it be good to be able to use rx (as an alternative) for 
interactive regexp input? A function for this could use completion for 
different parts to make it even easier.

Are there perhaps already a function for this? Maybe there should be a 
regexp-read-function (or is there already something like that?)?
