minibuffer takes over

Symptoms:

On Mac OS X (tiger), if I double click a text file set to open in emacs,
then emacs opens the file, but as soon as I click in the buffer,
I get a message saying "Command attempted to use minibuffer while
in the minibuffer" (or something very close) and then displays
the message "IXI Mosaic URL:" in the minibuffer.  The minibuffer 
does not accept return or any other characters.  If I point to
a word in the file buffer, it adds "http://[the word]" to the 
minibuffer URL message, but never returns control from the minibuffer.

On the other hand, if I open emacs and then drag and drop the file,
everything works fine.  So it may not be an emacs bug, but a mac
bug instead.  I'm not really sure, but I wanted to let you know
about it.


If emacs crashed, and you have the emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
    `bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
