That is what I mean by "ban": a feature not permitted,
by the maintainers, to appear in a release of GNU Emacs.


It would have been no different than rejecting a patch that would add
a login with passwords on ITS or file permissions...  People hacking
the system would have felt that it would not improve the system, as is
the case here.


That is a poor analogy on many levels.  Do you really wish
to defend it?
