Hi,

Does anyone know what differs in Emacs 21.1~22.3 and 23.0.60?
Recently Fedora 10 updated glibc into 2.9-3, and Emacs 21.1~22.3
LUCID (i.e. not GTK) got to crash. Whereas Emacs 23.0.60 is all
right so far no matter whether built for LUCID or built for GTK.
The bug report containing the backtrace I submitted is here:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=482766

This might differ from bug#1591:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnu-emacs/2008-12/msg00513.html

Someone suggested that it looks like a conflict of some symbol
in Emacs and the one in libnss_files-2.9.so. I'd like to keep
those old Emacsen working in order to test some ELisp programs
including Gnus. Especially for Emacs 21, building for GTK is
not a solution.

Regards,
