No, it isn't.  Only a few of the users normally try a pretest.

Polling the users means posting an announcement explicitly asking
users to try the feature now, and say what they think _and why_.

When possible, it is good to tell them a recipe to try the new
behavior in the current released Emacs, so they can try it and respond
without actually installing a pretest,
