Yes, of course, along with Perl, ssh, Tcl/Tk, GnuPG and a few other
things. Safely tucked away, though.

I fail to understand what is you're afraid msysgit will mess with,
then. You certainly don't have to install Cygwin, MSYS or MinGW to use
msysgit.
