No one has yet explained why we shouldn't deal with such failures by
simply fixing Emacs' file detection, instead of relying on libmagic or
file.
I don't think we're talking about the same question.
"Emacs' file type detection" is used inside find-file.
I'm proposing the use of `file' in othehr specific features,
not in find-file.
