Bzr was chosen for political reasons, and it's been very clear for a
long time that technical arguments against it would be ignored unless it
proved _completely_ unusable. That has not happened, however clunky it
may be.
So absent the possibility of any change, people have to work around the
annoyance as best they can, and that is what is being discussed. It's
sad that it comes down this, but that's life....
