IMO, it doesn't make sense to publish code that wasn't yet made to
compile on anything but GNU/Windows (i.e., the Windows build will be
broken), and which I never tried to run in a GUI session.  Why would
anyone want to see such code so badly?

I hope to get past those two obstacles in about 4 weeks, and then I'll
be ready to go public.  The merge itself is a non-issue, since I'm
resyncing with the trunk every week.  Stefan and Yidong agreed to this
plan.
